to Daytona Beach ever since the relationship between Great
Britain's most well-known orchestra and "The World's Most
Famous Beach" began in 1966 . Performances by the London
Symphony Orchestra (LSO) highlight this two-week festival
held biennially. Outside of London, the LSO has performed in
Daytona Beach more than anywhere else in the world and lists
the area as its "official summer home".

The 1999 Turkey Run featured 5,056 collector cars and trucks registered in the show alone, not including nearly 1,100 in the car corral, plus over 3,000 occupied vendor spaces. The event now fills the infield of the huge world-renowned racing facility known as Daytona International Speedway.
